Searching for the Sublime at the end of road.
Searching for the Sublime explores Alaska narratives concerning romantic notions of individualism, epic adventure, opportunity, and the search for self within the sublime limitlessness of nature.
During the month of May 2014 Riordan, Gerace, and Torrez engaged the Homer community through interviews and the collective building of an ephemeral art installation called the Cenotaph on Bishops Beach in Old Town Homer.
The installation was a ceramic structure of all local harvested clay, dirt and straw. The Artists hosted a number of events and art actions centered around the ideas of labor and the building of the Cenotaph.
